Super Star Blogs Link-Up? Linky Party?

Well, I am getting a little more adventurous. ☺ I actually subscribed to InLinkz and am having my first link-up? Linky party? (Not sure the correct terminology here, but I really like the sound of Linky Party.) Of course, I didn't get all the settings right the first time (hey, I'll get it), but I think everything is ok now. If you have a primary blog and would like to link up, click on the Super Star Blogs tab at the top of the page and add your blog. I would love to stalk you and borrow some great ideas for my first grade classroom. Hope to see you there! Jeannie

More FREE Pirate Theme Materials

I have posted in the past about my pirate themed classroom, but I have made several new FREE pirate materials for the upcoming school year.  Yesterday I posted about the Pirate Punctuation Posters.  Today I have added my Pirate Reading Strategy Posters (perfect for Daily 5) and Pirate Theme Sticker Charts.  I hope you like these and can use them.

I also have several more pirate themed items at my TpT store, all $5 or less.  Click here to check them out.

Happy Teaching!

Getting Ready for School & FREE Pirate Punctuation Posters

It is that time of year, when summer vacation is coming to an end and it is time to start getting ready for a new year and a brand new batch of kiddos.  It has rained every day for the past week and a half, so I have taken advantage of it and worked in my classroom 4 days this past week.  I still feel like I have so much to do! I start with inservice July 27 and school starts back on Aug. 2, so I plan on taking the week before off and doing nothing school-related.  So I am trying to get everything done within the next week.  One thing I have done is make up a set of punctuation posters that go along with my pirate theme and I am offering them for FREE.  I hope some of you can use these in your classroom.  Do you have a favorite theme you use in your classroom?  This is my 2nd year of doing pirates and I love it.  I will post pictures of my classroom soon (as soon as I get it finished.)

I think I have finally figured out this Google docs thing, so hopefully this will work.
